Small opaline overlay chandelier. France, early 19th century circa 1830 : Restoration period (Charles X - Louis Philippe).

Overlay means that the structure is a multilayered crystal : red crystal covered with white opaline, which once cut leaves red appear through. Decoration enhanced with fine gold.

Troubadour style ; our chandelier also matches well for an oriental style decoration project. Ideal for a small volume (entrance, bathroom or chapel), it is a rare and refined model.

It is in excellent condition.
