Empire ormolu candlestick, early 19th century circa 1810.

Beautiful model designed by Claude Galle, one of the most talented bronze maker of his time. That pattern was delivered for Imperial Palace of Saint Cloud (we sold a similar pair with St Cloud marks a few years ago).

In very good condition. Original mercury gilt a little attenuated but still there.

High piece, ideal to use as a desk lamp, a living room or bedside lamp.
