Baccarat crystal bowl, pink overlay Empire pattern.
This piece is actually formerly a sponge bowl that used to be part of a toilet set. The sponge bowl is normally the masterpiece of a toilet set, but it can also ideally be used as a candy bowl.
Late 19th century production, our bowl is not signed, but the pattern is listed in the 1916 catalog.
Empire is quite a rare pattern to find this item is a rare piece in very good condition (micro scratches inside).
