Lovely Louis XV style powder box, Baccarat crystal and sterling silver.
Remarkable cut crystal work. This kind of pattern would normally be molded, but this one is most finely cut.
The Louis XV Rococo style lid was made by Henri Soufflot. Richly carved cartouche with a MB monogram engraved. The inside silver part is covered with gold (vermeil).
French hallmark Minerva 1st standard and great French silversmith Henri Soufflot stamp. Sophisticated, refined work, late 19th century / early 20th century.
