Pair of ovoid vases, patinated bronze and mercury gilt bronze (ormolu). Rich, finely carved ornamentation gilt in matt and shiny. End of French Empire / beginning of Restoration period : early 19th century circa 1820.

Beautiful object, ideal on a mantel, a chest of drawers or a secretary.

Very high quality of execution and gilt, close to the greatest Parisians bronze makers of the time (Thomire, Ravrio etc.).

Excellent condition, beautiful brown patina, gilt very well preserved. A small lack in the central decoration of one of the two vases.
