Beautiful mantel bar, black patinated bronze and ormolu, Empire / Restoration period, 1815-1820. Decorated with palmettes, rosettes and laurels.

This elegant fireplace accessory is intended to protect parquet floors from falling flaming embers. The 2 side parts slide to adapt to the size of the mantel. The bar thus goes from a 128.5cm length to 132cm.

Very beautiful object in excellent condition, must have accessory to complete an authentical Empire period decoration.
