Pair of sterling silver salt cellars, cut crystal glasses, early 19th century production.

Beautiful pattern picturing an allegory of Faithful Love : Putti riding dogs (dogs being faithful symbol).

The silver frame is stamped with the 2nd rooster hallmark 1st standard from Paris (in use from 1809 to 1819, equivalent to current Minerva 1st standard), and Parisian silversmith Denis Garreau stamp (who became active in 1817, successor to Ambroise Mignerot).

2 sterling silver salt spoons come together with our salt cellars, later production (hallmark Minerva 1st standard) but fit the model very well.

In excellent condition. No accident.

Height : 7.3cm
Diameter : 6.3cm
Net silver weight : 168g
