Set of 12 dessert or fruit knives, late 19th century, Louis XIV style.
Sterling silver blades (French hallmark Minerva 1st standard), caps and collars. Handles are made of mahogany, which is quite an exceptional case (handles are usually made of ebony or blackened wood).
Excellent condition. Some drying splits in some handles, but the whole set looks very good.
