Louis XV style cutlery set composed of 36 knives (18 table knives and 18 cheese knives), ebony handles and sterling silver caps and collars.

The blades are chrome-plated and signed Lepine. The chrome plate is the most efficient (and the most expensive) way to preserve the blades from corrosion.

The handles have a sterling silver monogram inlaid : this is a luxurious production designed for one family as opposed to a standard production.

A monogram is missing another one has a little accident ; some blades are slit (as often the case with ebony handles after over 100 years usage), but the set is in very good condition.
