12 vermeil (sterling silver covered with fine gold) fruit knives, mother of pearl handles, vermeil blades, caps & collars, 19th century circa 1820-1830 (Charles X, French Restoration).
Beautiful, typical 1820-1830 pattern, finely decorated with wine branches on the caps and collars.
The cartouche on the handle is made of gold ; there is no monogram there, so you can engrave yours, or your coat of arms.
3 hallmarks on each blade : French hallmark Old Woman (.800 purity silver, Old Man's contemporary hallmark) of Paris, silversmith Jean-Louis Boitin mark and Paris duty mark.
Beautiful pattern, much luxurious production. Almost 200 years old, in excellent condition though : vermeil is really fresh, no lack, no bump, no slit on the handles ; very rare item to find in such a good condition.
Length : 19.5cm
