Neo-classical style grey Zuber panoramic wallpaper. This is the Italian landscape model, a large Empire / Restoration style decor created in 1912.
In the center of the composition, a path that goes up to the horizon with large trees, a farm hamlet on the left and an Italian village on the right.
Created at the end of the 18th century, Zuber manufactory - Rixheim (near Mulhouse in Alsace) - is one of the last manually-operated wallpaper manufactories, with a specialty in panoramic wallpapers representing large rotating landscapes.
Our wallpaper is made of 5 rolls (50cm wide by 3.8m high) : 9/10/1/2/3 out of the 10 available on the Zuber model. As our wallpaper was never installed, you can choose to make a large panel 2.4m wide up to 3.8m high. The top of the wallpaper is a white sky that can be reduced on demand : up to 3.8m high to place in a staircase or a high wall. Reduced, minimum height is 2.2m to leave 40cm above the central tree.
The Italian landscape model is still for sale at Zuber ; ours is a vintage edition manufactured in the 1930-40's. It is new and never laid, with the patina of an antique model.
We sell the wallpaper in 5 rolls, but can also be put on canvas or placed in a frame (on request).
Very good overall condition ; some moist stains that have been restored (repainted by our restorer), a tear restored in the white sky of the second roll starting from the left (3m high). When the wallpaper will be pasted on a wall or fixed on a canvas, it will not be visible.
The last pictures come from the Zuber website.
